Why do people hate Police Officers??

Why do people hate police officers? Can some one really hate one who puts his/her life on the line everyday? The general public sees, "their is pulling me over just to mess with me" or from a children's point of view "their taking daddy to jail". In all reality you are most likely in the wrong. Not to say that every police officer is a law abiding citizen, the vast majority are pretty well rounded. The general public is basically ignorant to the grizzly reality of a police officers job. Just think, someone gets pulled over by a police officer. Once the procedure is over the thought of that cop was a butthole follows. Noone ever think of what that cop just had to deal with. A police officer will  deal with a murder of a little child, an elder, and a single mother in the same day and has to go home with those thoughts on his or her mind. So the cop with the attitude can be excused considering the amount of stress he/she may deal with from day to day. I wish we would show a little more respect for our men and women in blue. The same people who hate the police are the same people who call them when they are in need. What the ______ is that?

    I really agree with what you are saying. You are so right but everyone doesn't think like that. I love police officers especially Virginia Awkward from Police Women of Memphis. I feel that they are going out of their way to protect us. People now days are so ungrateful.

    iLL HAVE TO DISAGREE WITH YOU. i HAVE TO ADMIT ALL COPS ARE NOT DIRTY BUT THE ONES IVE INCOUNTERED WERE. i LIVE IN NEW ORLEANS AND THE COPS DOWN THERE ARE MORE AFRAID THAN THE PEOPLE THAN THE PEOPLE ARE OF THEM. THE COPS TERRORIZE PEOPLE DOWN THERE, WELL THOSE WHO'S NOT AFRAID OF THE PEOPLE. THEY DONT RESPOND WHEN PEOPLE CALL AND THEIR IN TROUBLE. THEY ONLY RESPOND TO THE GOOD NEIGHBORHOOD CALLS.

    Jashad, first thank you for your input and I completely understand what you mean. But, hear me out. NO is a big city. Ive lived there myself. Crime is also high is NO. The criminals are like no other. But the whole city is not crime infested. Like every city there will be dirty cops. But in a city where the cops are afraid of the people, which they have a good reason to be, just being in a police uniform alone makes them a target. I think it is safe to say that every police officer would love to go home to his or her family every night. So taking precautions is understandable. But, i completely disagree with the fact of ignoring calls. I do believe every call should be answered no matter how small. Overall, try to give NO's finest a little more credit. Their job is a tough one
